Love break... Love break...

Love break... Love break...

Does anybody remember that moment in Fame where all the students spill

out into the streets and dance all over cars and cabs in the middle of

NYC? That's exactly how it felt just now. People getting down... And

not caring who was watching. The 718 Sessions. If anyone is or will be

coming to NYC New Years Day... Loooord... It's gonna be a hoot.

how strange is it that the Eagle serves baked pizza? I did come here

looking for something hot and tasty but this is a little unexpected. A

leather bar serving Italian faire. God... I love NYC.

Can I kick it?

(Yes, you can!)
Can I kick it? (Yes, you can!)
Can I kick it? (Yes, you can!)
Can I kick it? (Yes, you can!)
Can I kick it? (Yes, you can!)
Can I kick it? (Yes, you can!)
Can I kick it? (Yes, you can!)
Well, I'm gone (Go on then!)

Let's hear it for Tribe Called Quest everyone...
Tribe Called Quest...

*applause*

So...

I know I'm pretty late on the bandwagon...
Cause you know all the "it" girls have/had them already...
Crystalled up and all...
Ummm... not the girls...
The...
Never mind...

But I am now the new baby daddy of a T-Mobile Sidekick II...
I really love it alot...

I... being a geek...

(hmmm... is there a term for a "homo geek"?
heek? gomo? GOMO! I like it! I like it!)

And I... being a GOMO...
I'm really intergrating it into my life...

First of all I ended up buying the mark/space program
The Missing Sync
that syncs up the contents of my iCal and Addressbook.app
from my mac to the sidekick desktop interface...

Which is stored on the Sidekick/Danger servers, BTW...
So i can access that information from any computer...

Second... i love being connected all the time...
Being able to surf the net for info when I need it...
And not having to look for a wifi spot...

I can email photos I take on the sidekick
to friends, myself or into Flickr...
The last of which may become something more...
We'll see...

I am now getting more organized...
Cause god knows...
And especially around the holidays...
I'm going nuts trying to keep track of things that I need to do...
(I haven't even bought gifts I need to buy for the holidays yet! eeek!)

Now... for those of you who are wondering why I settled on the Sidekick...
Here are the main reasons...

1. Peter from MacboyX/Oh My Pod!/PMP Podcast suggested I get it...
And when it comes to tech... The man knows his stuff.

2. T-Mobile has a really reasonably priced data plan...
like $20 for unlimited... well... everything....
except voice minutes...
pleez... I wish...

3. I got a great deal at amazon.com for it...
like... it's technically free...
after rebates...
I mean...
FREE people...
and you know that's good...
Considering I ain't got a whole lotta coins...
Ya' know what I'm saying...

&

4. I was looking into the Treo or the Blackberry at first...
but decided on the Sidekick...
I felt a little hesitant at the beginning
because of the lack of bluetooth, customizability, and expansion-ability...
but after this article...
I felt much more at ease.

Hell... I may even start posting from my sidekick...
Ya never know...

But like always...

Something else is coming up...

I just got this thing...

And I found out that they're planning to come out with a Sidekick III soon...

This new version should address the items
that this version (The Sidekick II) was lacking...
The items I listed above...

Luckily... by the time the Sidekick III comes out...
My contract should be up
and I can get a little bit of a deal towards buying one from T-Mobile...

So... Ya know I'm all over it like hooker in Hong Kong...

Woot.

Here's to good friends... tonight is something special...

I FINALLY met Peter!

My co-host from the PMP Podcast...
Host of the Oh My Pod! Podcast...
And writer of Macboy X....

And we had a blast...

We will be going into more details on our PMP Podcast more than likely...

But for those who don't tune in...

(which... shame on you... but eh... to each his own ;) )

He and his boyfriend Shawn...

(BTW... they make such a cute couple :D )

We met each other at a restaurant in Chelsea called R.U.B....
(Righteous Urban Barbecue)

We gave each other long awaited hugs and proceeded on in...

We gorged on pulled pork...
side dish galore and
to top it all off...

DEEP FRIED OREO COOKIES!!!!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

*drool*

We then met up with his friend Steve and his friend...
(Oh god... I forgot his name! Damn it.)

Anyway... we headed on over to "bear night" @ Dick's Bar...
(It's been years since I had been there...)

Had a couple of beers and then headed on over to the Phoenix
when things started dying down @ Dick's...

It was cute!
Good looking crowd...
Nice mix of everyone...
Pool table and nice vibe...

(I think I'll be going back again soon enough.)

But after a long night...
We said our goodbyes
As they dropped me off to the train...

All in all...

I loved hanging out with them...

Really great conversation...
Extremely similar interests and points of view...

Bottom line...

Good people... :)

You best all come back round again, ya hear?!?!?!

BTW... Doesn't it look like I'm gonna start a fight or something?!?!?
I have no idea what was going through my head at that time... LOL
